Located on two pie slice-shaped parcels of land on the San Mateo County coast, nonprofit Pie Ranch brings people together to learn about the full cycle of food production, from planting to harvest, processing to distribution, and cooking to composting. Pie Ranch operations include a 13-acre property that was formerly part of the Isaac Steele Ranch, one of the earliest and largest dairy farms in the county. It contains historic buildings dating back to the 1860s, including a farmhouse that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Costanoa Kids Camp is a safe, nurturing, fun and outdoor nature-based experience for Costanoa campers age 5-12. This is a great opportunity for kids to play games, learn about some of the local natural history and have an overall great time. Activities include nature walks, tide pooling, plant and animal identification, storytelling, bug hunting, games and arts and crafts. Kids Camp is offered from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Weekend and we take requests for private sessions in the off-season. The cost is $35 per child, which includes snacks.

Discover Milagra Ridge’s military history from World War II gun emplacements for coastal defense to the Nike missle launch site (1955-1974). Part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, Milagra Ridge is one of the few remaining habitats for the mission blue butterfly. Walking shoes are recommended for this hour long hike on level ground. To get to the walk, from Sharp Park Road turn north on College Drive and continue about 1/4 mile to roadside parking at the Milagra Ridge gate. Parking is limited, carpools are encouraged.
